Questions
we get asked.
The five that come up in every first call.
Q1
Do you work with overseas clients?
Yes. We have shipped titles for publishers in Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Contracts can be in English, invoicing in USD or EUR. We keep a four-hour daily overlap with CET and two hours with US Pacific, and we do weekly video reviews with the whole team, not just an account manager.
Q2
Who owns the IP and the source code?
You do, on final payment. We transfer the full repository, art source files and build pipeline. We retain rights only to pre-existing generic tools and middleware, which you get a perpetual, non-exclusive, commercial licence to use.
Q3
What if the project slips?
We flag risk at the weekly review, not at the deadline. If a slip is caused by us, we absorb the cost of the extra time. If it is caused by a scope change, we issue a written change order with a revised timeline and price before doing the work.
Q4
Can we visit the studio?
Yes. Yantai is a 90-minute flight from Beijing and Shanghai. We also run full-team video calls on request, and you can talk to the engineers and artists actually doing the work.
Q5
Do you sign NDAs?
Always, before the first substantive call if you prefer. We can work with your template or provide ours. Every team member assigned to your project signs an individual confidentiality agreement.
